Apple silicon, new Arm-based chip - M1 | MacBook Air | no more Intel
Apple - no more reliable on other processor manufacturers to build their MacBooks.
Apple has officially launched its own ARM-based chip named M1 and Apple MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini computer all processed with this new M1 chipset.
Apple MacBooks used to come with different memory, CPU, GPU, I/O, and other units but now all comes integrated into one single new ARM-based M1 Chip and Apple claims that it is much faster, delivers high performance, and more power-efficient than any other ultrabook present in the market.
Apple M1 5nm chipset with 16 billion transistors is packed with
octa-core processor, consisting of 4 High-performance cores and 4 High-efficiency cores is 3.5X faster than its predecessors.
Integrated GPU - 6x faster
15x faster - 16-cores Neural Engine for better machine learning can perform 11 trillion operations per second.
As M1 is an integrated chip with all the components packed in one chip it's way more power-efficient and impressive battery life.
Along with the new M1 chip, Apple also announced its new Apple MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and MacBook Air.
The new MacBook Air is a new fan-less MacBook and is processed with its new M1 chip and so holds 3.5x faster CPU, 5x faster GPU, Touch ID, 2 Thunderbolts, 15-18 Hours of usage
